You know how they say "when you meet someone and it just feels right?" That's how I felt when I met Annie & Colin at The Providore for the first time. We were linked up by a mutual friend, Kerry Cheah, documentary and family photographer at Red Bus Photography and who knew this would become a friendship that was so amazing. Colin had a beer while I ordered a good ol Iced Latte (or was it Cold Brew?) to fuel my caffeine quota for the day. As I got to hear more about their story, I adored the chemistry the both of them had. A good balance of friendly banter and sweet smiles at each other, I knew it was just the right feel for the way I wanted to document their special day. It was also a bonus that Colin loves HIGH CONTRAST BLACK AND WHITE STREET PHOTOGRAPHY (OH YEAHH) and is an avid lover of the Ricoh GR3. Lovely lovely stuff. But yeah, I was excited. Really excited. So the day came, it was just like how I envisioned it to be, a slow and chill wedding day, spent with their closest friends and family. No gatecrash, no fancy bells and whistles, just heartfelt moments and treasuring the time they had with the ones that mattered most. We got super lucky and caught the National Day Fireworks, and my only regret was not being able to photograph their after-party because I had another wedding the next morning. Thank you guys for having me, and thank you for trusting me. Here's their day:
